We are looking for a Property Management Training & Development Specialist to join our Corporate Training Team.  They will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for employees.  In addition, the Training & Development Specialist will review existing training programs; suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the organization while under the guidance of the leadership team.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and staff.
  • Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.
  • Develops unique training programs to fulfill employee’s specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
  • Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials.
  • Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
  • Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
  • Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
  • Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
  • Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Training and Development, Communications or a related field required.
  • At least two years of training experience required.
  • Experience with property management software such as Yardi, Real Page, or Resman preferred.
  • Prior property management experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills, and ability to moderate large groups.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
  • Executive Certificate in Leadership Coaching
